If you searched "ai seo rainmakers reddit" hoping for a long thread of members arguing about whether Charles Floate's Skool community is worth $269 a month, you will be disappointed. We searched Reddit on 6 and 7 September 2026, site-wide and in r/SEO, r/bigseo, r/juststart and r/AISEO. We found one genuine member thread, a lot of Charles Floate history, and a law-firm marketing thread that Google keeps serving by mistake. This page lays all of it out, then answers the questions Redditors would ask from what we verified as paying members.

What Reddit actually holds, as of 7 September 2026

The community launched on 10 August 2026, so it is under a month old. That explains most of the silence. Here is the full list of threads that mention it by name and are not course-leak or piracy posts, which we will not link.

That is one real thread. Our rule for this page was simple: if we found fewer than three, say so rather than pad the page with unrelated Rainmaker threads. So here it is. As of 7 September 2026, Reddit has almost nothing to say about AI SEO Rainmakers, and the one thing it does say is mildly positive.

The one genuine thread, summarised

The r/DigitalMarketing poster, colinlma, describes himself as a member and opens the thread for questions. The post body is marked as a spoiler, so the comments carry the substance. Three exchanges matter.

• A commenter asks how good the private library is, including the "secret prompts" and "jail breaks". The poster replies that he has not gone through it because he has been swamped with his own work, but that there is "a lot of activity and updates every day", and that his goal in joining was community more than the library. He adds that Charles was running a large spam-update analysis at the time.
• Another commenter asks whether there is much about actually making money or whether it is high level. The poster says it is not a "here's how you get leads" package, but there is SEO strategy and positioning that helps you close clients, and specific strategies to raise earnings. He is explicit that nothing is packaged as "here's how you make an extra $1,500 a month".
• One comment was removed by moderators, and a fourth asks for beginner YouTube videos, which the thread does not answer.

Why Google shows a law-firm "RainMaker sham" thread

Search "ai seo rainmakers review" and, as of 6 September 2026 in the US, the first or second result is an r/LawFirm thread from 17 July 2018 titled "Is RainMaker just a total sham?". It has 15 points and 21 comments, and it has nothing to do with Charles Floate. The poster is a marketing contractor for a workers' compensation lawyer who hired The Rainmaker Institute, a marketing agency for law firms, and got Facebook followers instead of cases. The replies debate Facebook ads for lawyers. Nobody in it has heard of Skool.

Google serves it because the word "Rainmaker" is shared by several unrelated companies and no on-topic review thread exists to outrank it. The same search also surfaces Rainmaker Family on Trustpilot, RainMaker martial-arts software on Software Advice, and rainmakeragency.ai. None of them connects to the Skool community. If you land on any of those, you are reading about a different business.

Charles Floate's long history on SEO Reddit

The community is new. Charles Floate is not, and Reddit has been arguing about him for twelve years. Everything below we opened and read ourselves on 7 September 2026.

The pattern is consistent. When he hosts the thread, the room is friendly and the questions are technical. When someone else posts about him, the replies split between "one of the best" and "self-promoter". That matches his own bio, which we cover on the Charles Floate page: penalised by Google in 2013 and 2016 for teaching black hat openly, 97.2K followers on X, and a reputation built on saying what other SEOs keep quiet.

On X, every Rainmakers post we could find in the first three weeks came from Charles himself: seats-left countdowns, call highlights, and an early September 2026 post that the community had hit 30 five-star reviews on day 19. Those are his claims. We found no independent X review of the community as of 7 September 2026.

What members say on the Skool page itself

The reviews Reddit lacks sit on the Skool about page. As of 6 September 2026 it showed 5.0 from 31 reviews, with five visible. Every reviewer had been a member for 11 to 21 days, so read them as first impressions, not long-term results.

• Marc Moeller: one of the few SEO communities he has joined where the information is "genuinely advanced and immediately useful".
• Alex Horbov: a "superb community" with practical knowledge, tools for implementation and members ready to answer.
• Nur Sarowar: most communities sell you courses and leave you to it; this one hands you live site teardowns where you watch Charles reverse engineer real member sites.
• Cindi Vinette: "so much value" in the courses and in content from experienced members and Charles.
• Waqar Hussain: if you are serious about SEO, "especially Black Hat SEO", this is a group worth joining, and Charles is one of the best.

Two things stand out. Skool only lets paying members leave reviews, so there are no drive-by ratings. And the black-hat remark from Waqar Hussain is a selling point to him and a warning to anyone running a compliance-heavy brand. We cannot verify any member's income claims, and none of these five reviews makes one.

Our own paid-member verdict

We paid $269 on 2 September 2026 and have been inside since. Our score is 4.8 out of 5. The weekly Wednesday call is the core product: Charles stays until the last question is answered, and the three recordings we watched ran 3h57m in total. The feed passed 540 posts in three weeks and he answers in threads himself. Against that, it is the most expensive AI SEO Skool group we have found and the price rises $10 every 25 members. Seven of ten courses were locked on day one, and total classroom video is 6h37m rather than the 15-plus hours implied on the sales page. If your employer or client would object to any of that, this is the wrong community. Why is everything locked when you join?

Courses are gated by Skool engagement level, which you earn through likes on your posts. Level 1 opens Foundations only. Level 2 needs 5 points and opens the tools and repos.
